The story of the name Caust begins in 1470, when my direct ancestor 12 generations ago, Antti Caust, started as a pioneer in Ostrobothnia in the highlands of Kokkola. He was from Finland Proper or Satakunta area, more precisely perhaps from the corner of counties Taivassalo and Kemiö. His ancestors had arrived there in search of new and unknown wealth from the tops of Dauragav River via Estonia. They became the king’s household boarders, artisans and church builders.
The same generation of scavengers was also represented by my father, who founded my own business school, that is, his industrial companies after World War II, from scratch with only his own work and intelligence as capital. Those factory halls and monitoring transactions were my favorite hobby as a little boy under school age, along with reading. I decided that someday I too will become a real businessman, a successful businessman. The partnership and the years of activity along with commercial university studies alongside my father were the best preparation for the next level.
Caust Oy’s strategy is to operate in selected industries: renewable energy, real estate development, artificial intelligence applications and logistics, helping existing and starting Finnish and other European companies to find the best paths towards profitable and sustainable growth. Our company’s cooperation networks and technical analysis, service & production control models help us with this. The goal is to build the world’s most advanced value-added network.
